MMA - An Ultimate Training Routine for Fitness

Have you ever seen Mixed Martial fighters in bad shape? The answer would be No. Because the training regimes include everything one could want from a workout session. MMA is an incredible way to get a perfect physical and mental state. It engages your whole body in training & fitness like no other sport. People of all ages and gender can practice and equally enjoy it. No matter if you have just started to hit the gym, or doing it for years, MMA training can be beneficial. People often equate MMA with just fighting; it's not just that this combat sport offers vast & diverse advantages. MMA is an amazing, healthy, & safe training. Here's what MMA can do for you.

1)   Total Body Workout

Most sports usually require a particular muscle set to be toned and used. For example, swimmers usually have strengthened shoulders, cyclists have strong quads, & soccer players have strengthened lower bodies. However, MMA demands the strengthening of all the muscles in your body. MMA training is designed in a way that engages all the muscle sets in your body. its drills make you build muscles. Kicking makes your legs stronger, punching makes your arms to be equally strong & grappling strengthens your core muscles. Practicing sprawling, not only teaches you self-defend but also aids in building up your back & shoulders. Practicing power kicks while putting your MMA shorts on a heavy bag improves your technique and builds leg muscles too. MMA also improves your overall flexibility.

2)   New Style Workout

When you exercise in a regular gym, all of the responsibility of coping up with exercise is on you. You need to organize your techniques and workouts appropriately and correctly. Training your body for quick & safe results requires know-how. However, enrolling in an MMA gym gives you a new workout style. It doesn't matter if you lack knowledge on dynamic stretches, your instructor is there for that. He will organize and teach you properly. All you are required to do is to show up in the class. Technique plays an important role in learning MMA, and someone will ensure that you perform every exercise correctly. No responsibility is on your shoulders.

3) Burn Calories Quickly

The regular gym offers so many ways of burning calories. Some of them burn calories faster than other means, but no machine can compete at the speed at which MMA burns it. It can make you burn up to 590 calories in a 45 min striking class. In a grappling class of equivalent time, you can burn up to a mark of 620 calories. However, running on a treadmill at a medium pace for 45 minutes can burn up to 400 calories. Techniques like Grappling & striking engages more muscles than simply running on a treadmill. MMA involves core workout in almost a non-stop manner. Even non-contact classes are intense. MMA training allows you to get maximum and much more at the same time you spend at the gym.

4) It’s So Much than Cardio

You are probably aware of different types of workouts - Aerobic, Anaerobic, and metabolic conditioning. Aerobic conditioning (known as cardio) improves the function of your heart & lungs.

Anaerobic workouts are not about endurance, the focus on enhancing your performance during shorter, and explosive exercises. Metabolic conditioning trains your muscles to use the fuel your body supplies, in an efficient manner. Gym workouts focus on one of these pathways. But MMA training includes strength, aerobic & metabolic conditioning in every session. You get to develop endurance, strength, power, toughness, and much more from a single MMA class.

5) MMA Fitness is much More Than Just Fitness

Regular gym workouts can be monotonous and boring. Finding everyday motivation can be difficult. The workouts are more like a routine. An MMA class offers you an instructor & fellows motivating you. As you are learning self-defense, you have something in your mind as exercise. Rather than having an image of a chore, you can look forward to, learning something & fresh challenges for motivation. It requires months of working for noticing big changes. But MMA will induce apparent improvement in you. You begin to notice your increased strength as training becomes easier. All you need to do is get yourself a pair of MMA gloves and step into martial art class!
